finally..

ok long post ahead of what actually happened to me during my hols.. haha

well i will only include a few things.. the main highlights.. the rest of my hols were spent either on the computer, sleeping, doing assignments and the other stuff u will do on a normal day.. haha

without further ado lets get to it.. hehe..

my first week was practically boring haha.. went for bowling twice for 2 hours each session haha.. and that was practically it.. they had this sort of RM 30 per lane... play 2 hours non stop thingy.. so i had a friend, and we gave RM 15 each for 2 hours of non stop bowling.. and phew.. save the state of our hands after that.. =P didn't have the privilege to use the car that much for that week.. so my 1st week just flew by.. haha

the 2nd week =) a more interesting week.. annual camp!!! from the 21-23 august.. i basically only went for 2 days la. and being a commander for camp.. haha.. a new experience la.. u get to enjoy some privileges but u have to work a lot as well..

21st august

woke up at 5am haha.. and had a mini MUSE concert in the car.. oh how i missed those days.. all the falsetto .. too sleepy to figure at that time.. but with Sam driving at 120km/h.. and the music blasting.. if that doesn't wake u up i don't know what will lol.. arrived at church and left for Sungai Congkak..=) long since i ever saw a river and the lush greenery around it.. haha..quite a significant place for me.. cause it was the exact place where i had my 1st campout =)

arrived bout lunch time.. haha.. and yea... started to help those kids set up their tents and all.. and guess what? it just had to POUR.. and we had to wait for the rain to stop.. one thing i really don't like to do..

at night.. me and Hansel worked to build a council fire for the ceremony at night.. and yeah.. we managed to build something.. Comm. Eddy brought lots of wood.. so yeah.. after the rain stopped we had some games.. then after that set to work to build the council fire which resulted in this..


then.. we waited till night and ceremony started of with Hansel organizing the whole thing.. we started with a little sketch then lighted the fire.. followed by myself worship leading and then a challenge by Ps David.. there were little skits here and there..

after all that stuff.. we (the jr commanders) decided to play a little game.. we blindfolded all the rangers and told them a Japanese colonization story.. where many people were killed and all.. and then took them for a walk in the forest in the dark... (actually very near camp) and made noises and all.. we could tell some of them were freaked out but the older ones weren't haha.. so yeah.. but at least it was something rite.. haha.. then came the highlight of the night.. BBQ!!

after that.. we shoooed them all to bed.. lights out and had our own fun.. Hansel, Sam , Comm Horr Wai and myself decided to take a midnight dip in the river.. (always a tradition to do so.. =P)... as we were walking towards the river, we didn't realise that we had stepped on a colony of ants.. and i got the worse dose of ant poison.. i felt like a super duper painful sensation on my left foot and jumped my way out of that path.. lol.. hilarious la.. then Commander Horr Wai in front of me started to shout as one ant had bitten him and Hansel behind got one or two bites i guess..then we all started running out of the path and shouting lol..(if one didn't know what hit us it was quite hilarious actually) but mine was like 7-8 bites after i checked.. u know how the pain of a bee sting? its something like tat.. and it was multiple stings... lol.. at first i din know what hit us.. cause we were walking with only one torch.. then we went back to examine and found this long line of red ants.. and gosh.. they were tiny.. man.. the pain they could deal was like whoooo! u know what i mean la.. in the end we got our bath.. sat by the fire and then slept in the van =)

22 August
woke up at 7am.. had all the usual parades and i was in in charge of the Adventure Rangers(AR) with Comm Horr Wai and the the rest.. so.. practically we were preparing for a 9km hike to a new campsite.. the ARs had to do their backpacking thingy so yeah.. b4 we left, i spotted the DRs (discovery rangers) doing their merits..

trust me.. the road was not an easy one.. i mean... for them carrying the backpacks and all.. i will applaud Joshua Mohan.. he insisted to hike all the way with a backpack.. only at the last part of journey he gave up the bag and we put it in the van.. His spirit taught me a few things.. =) Never give up! after they pitched their tents at the new campsite, they were rewarded with a bath in the river


then after that it started to pour.. again.. and yes.. they were supposed to cook over a fire.. their own meal.. lol.. but their spirit never dampened and i would give all credit to them.. i would have just sat in my tent and go without the meal.. seriously.. but they were awesome.. they managed to get a fire going.. and actually cook in the rain..

yeah.. Comm Horr Wai cooked us a delicious dinner over the stove and not long after that Comm. Eddy came and i got a ride back to base camp.. it was really a miserable night for the rangers lorh.. raining and all.. left the place at around 1100 pm.. back all the way to Sam's house.. spent the night there.. Michael came over too... haha..

23rd August

Amazing Race! yeah.. and guess what it rained again.. =(.. lol.. everytime we have an outdoor event it seems to be pouring hehe.. but anyways.. good job by the organizers.. except for a few messed up clues here and there.. but yeah overall i had tons of fun.. and yeah HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM!! went out to eat dinner at this buffet steamboat shop in Menjalara.. yeah.. =)

at night, we celebrated my cousins b'day as well.. yeah, his b'day falls on the same day as my mums..haha.. turning 17 this year.. =) and guess what we had DURIAN CAKE from Secret Recipe.. haha.. i was so full i could only have one slice..

and thus.. ends my marvelous holiday.. i could never get enough of these hols.. but thank God that i had a wonderful rested break.. and yeah.. looking forward to my next hols.. =D
